Murray Raymond Maurstad Obituary
Orono, MN - Murray Raymond Maurstad has left this world on his last great adventure.
Born on August 26, 1950, in Tokyo, Japan, spending his youth in New York City, before settling with his family in Minnesota, where he passed away surrounded by his family on April 15, 2025.
Murray founded and operated American Mailing Machines for 30 years affording him the opportunity to retire early, relax, and spend time with his wife Vicki, daughter Leigh and her husband Dave, and his granddaughters Brooklyn and Madeline. He enjoyed life to its fullest, traveling extensively, putting many hours on the water, many miles on his Harley, welcoming all he knew to join in the fun.
Murray was beneficiary of the March of Dimes in receiving cleft pallet repair as a child. In lieu of flowers, nothing would pass along his legacy and memory better than a donation to Smile Network International, a local Minnesota nonprofit helping people smile around the world.
Celebration of Life Saturday May 3rd, 1-4 pm at the Gillespie Center, Mound, MN.
As we bid farewell to Murray, let's remember him: wind in his hair, a grin on his face, scratch-off's in his back pocket, winning at life.
