Molly Dwyer Barzen Obituary
St. Louis Park - 71, began her next 'journey of life' in October 2025, passing at home with the same independent and idealistic spirit that defined every chapter of her life. Born on March 2, 1954, and raised in Edina, Minnesota, Molly was the daughter of John Clarence and Katherine Barzen (née Maroney) and grew up surrounded by the warmth and camaraderie of her five siblings. Molly is remembered as a woman who cultivated deep and enduring friendships. Loyal, genuine, and free of judgment, she forged relationships that lasted decades. She stood by her friends as they stood by her, through joys, hardships, and the inevitable turns of life. Her warm laugh, unique style, and radiant smile will be lovingly remembered. Molly understood life to be a journey of many lanes—peaks and valleys alike—and she traveled each with introspection and bravery. Molly is survived by her daughters, Hannah Gould (née Lapkin; Marc Gould) and Sophie Lapkin; grandson, Jack Gould; her siblings Tim (Victoria), Kathy, and John Anthony (Barb) Barzen; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Terrance Barzen, and her sister, Mimi (née Margaret Josephine; Dan Hanson) Barzen. A dear human being, a loyal friend, and a force of nature all her own—Molly remains with us in memory, and those memories will forever be beautiful. A celebration of Molly's life will be held on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at 12pm at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, with a visitation one hour prior to service and a reception to follow.
Memorials or donations may be made to Can Do Canines or organization of donor's choice.
