Minneapolis, mn - Michelle "Mickey" Marie Tabor, 70, of Minneapolis passed away on April 16th due to complications from pneumonia following a brief, courageous battle with cancer.

Mickey, the sixth of nine children, was born in South East Minneapolis to Francis and Kathryn McGovern on September 29th, 1954. She attended Marshall High School in SE Mpls and graduated in 1972. She married Arnold Tabor on October 20, 1974 and managed his successful business, Tabor & Sons. for several decades. Her greatest joy was in being a mother, grandmother, and alternate maternal figure for so many nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren with whom she derived the utmost pride. There are so many others to whose lives she touched in meaningful ways.

Mickey is preceded in death by her parents; in-laws Llyod & Ruby Tabor; husband, Arnie; and her sisters Kathryn & Debbie.

She is survived by her siblings Frank, Mary, Patrick, Theresa, Angie, and Michael. She was a mother to Carlene, Arnold, and Christine Tabor. She will be missed by her children, Lisa (Justin) Rice, Michael (Kamalar) Tabor, Anthony (Kristen) Tabor, and Denise Tabor; grandchildren Mercades, Alexander, Athena, Eleanor, Brandon, Bennett, Sarah, Anthony Jr., Donovan, Conor, Willow, Genevieve; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Service will be held Saturday, April 19th at 3pm in NE Minneapolis. Arrangements are being handled by Billman-Hunt Funeral Home.
