Michael L. Kurtz Obituary
Bloomington - Age 79, of Bloomington passed away January 8, 2026. Preceded in death by parents, Hugo and Eleanor, and two sisters Avis and Joyce. Michael owned and operated Kurtz Tax Service in Bloomington for over 45 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He is survived by wife of 56 years, Nancy; sons, Jason and Jon (Robyn); daughters, Michelle (Craig) Herickhoff and Meghan (JK) Kallina; grandchildren, Maci, Chase, Riley, Jayden, Blake, Kynli, Kaiden, Presley, Harper, and Jess; brother, Al (Becky) and many other friends and relatives. Visitation will be held at Washburn-McReavy Bloomington Chapel on Wednesday, January 14 from 4pm-7pm. Celebration of Life will be held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church on Thursday at 11am with visitation one hour before and a meal served after the service.
