Faribault - Bottke, May Gretel (1924-2025) age 100, of Faribault, Minnesota, passed away on July 4, 2025. Funeral services will be held at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Faribault on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Faribault on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. and at the church for one hour prior to the service on July 14. She was born in Renville, MN in 1924 to Willard and Nellie DeRuyter and grew up on a farm. May attended Danube High School before studying Primary Education at the University of Minnesota. May was preceded in death by her husband William Bottke, her parents, siblings, and several nephews and nieces. She is survived by her three children Mary Osborne, Gretchen Stenehjem, and Dr. William Bottke, as well as ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
