Chandler, AZ - Maureen McGuire Browning, 83, passed away peacefully at the end of May, surrounded by family. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she believed the greatest joy in life was to love and be loved.
She met her husband, Gary, in college—a love-at-first-sight connection that led to 63 years of marriage and a life filled with laughter, family, and days at their Lake Metigoshe cabin.
Raised in Rugby, ND, Maureen had a lifelong love of water, diving into her 80s. She was a gifted storyteller, third-grade teacher, boutique owner, and fashion buyer. A pageant queen with a creative soul, she was as beautiful inside as out.
A breast cancer survivor, Maureen faced many health challenges with strength and gratitude. She donated her body to the University of Arizona's College of Medicine in thanks to the care she received.
She is survived by Gary, children Jim and Lori, three granddaughters, and sister Candyce.
