Arbeiter, Maureen "Punky" (Knight) Age 93, of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025. Preceded in death by her husband, Allen Arbeiter, son Allen "Sam" Arbeiter, and daughter Maureen Trost. She is survived by daughter: Carol (Rick) Olsen, sons: Ted (Michelle) Arbeiter, Dan (Sharon) Arbeiter; grandchildren: Ted Olsen, Rachel Trost (Andrew LeMay), Rikki Olsen, Maggie Arbeiter (Micah Frank), McKenzie (Luke) Bromback, Abby Arbeiter (Andrew Swaser), Maedelin (Austin) Kelly, and Liam Arbeiter; great-grandchildren Calvin, Margo, Tilly; as well as many loving relatives and friends. Punky grew up in North Minneapolis and attended St. Anne's High School. She raised five children while working over the years for First National Bank, Dayton's, and Shobe and Sons. She made many friends wherever she went. Punky had a deep faith and was an active volunteer at her church. She loved playing cards and solving cryptoquip and crossword puzzles. She also loved doing cross stitch and was proud of her Minnesota State Fair ribbon awarded for her Our Lady of Guadalupe. She was a wiz at sewing and early on, outfitted the entire family with 'Punky sewn' clothes. She enjoyed winters in Mazatlan and Summers at Bay Lake. She was a good cook and enjoyed many family dogs and cats over the years, most recently Buffy. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to have known her. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Thursday, March 20 at the Church of St. Alphonsus, 7025 Halifax Avenue North, Brooklyn Center, 55429. Visitation one hour prior at church followed by luncheon. Private interment at Gethsemane Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Redemptorist Community and Sharing and Caring Hands.
