Anderson, Maureen R. age 89, of St. Louis Park, died on Monday, January 20, 2025 in Alexandria, MN. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, 2/21/25 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Mpls followed by a memorial service at 11:30 on Friday, 2/21/25 at St. Joan of Arc Church in Mpls. Maureen was born on December 15, 1935 to Murphy and Alma (Gratton) Sheggerud in Mpls. She was raised in South Mpls where she graduated from Central High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to William Anderson on November 17, 1956 at St. Joan of Arc Church. After their marriage, Maureen joyfully embraced her husband's military career including living in Germany for 3 years. She returned to MN to settle in St. Louis Park where she raised her 3 children and worked at Benson Optical as an optical assistant followed by working at Fresh Promise in the food industry. In her younger years she was an excellent bowler and played on several softball teams. She and William lived in St. Louis Park for over 50 years with beautiful memories. Maureen enjoyed traveling, shopping, the symphony and visiting with family and friends. Maureen is survived by her son, Todd (Janet) Anderson of Dayton; daughters, Elizabeth (Kieran) Gherity of Eden Prairie and Lisa (Dr. Michael) Dahlquist of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Ryan (Kirstin) Dahlquist and Laura (Dylan) Larson and two great grandchildren, Loa Dahlquist and Cameron Larson.
