Mary C. Thompson Obituary

Edina - 95 of Edina, died 11/21/2025, at Deephaven Woods Senior Living. She was born 11/24/1929 to Grace and Fredrick H. Crawford in Minneapolis. Mary graduated from the University of MN with a degree in interior design, she was a member of Ph Beta Phi. Mary loved antiques, enjoyed volunteering at Abbott NW hospital for 30 years as well as the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.


Mary is preceded in death by parents Grace (Richter) and Fredrick H. Crawford, husband Rolland G. Thompson, brother William Crawford, son Kent A. Thompson (Carol), son in law Reginald A. Plowman, (Lynne) granddaughter Jane M. Plowman.


Mary is survived by daughter Lynne E. Plowman, Plymouth, granddaughters Jessica Plowman, Seattle, Jessie Carlson (Chris), Minneapolis, Ann Seehof (David), Puerto Rico, Sara Slack (Clinton), Minneapolis; great grandchildren Elijah Seehof-Flory, Isabelle, Leo and Delia Carlson, Thompson, Eloda and Willem Slack. Nephew Bill Crawford (Jodi), Niece Margret Karas (Bill), John Crawford.


Memorials to Planned Parenthood, Alzheimers Assoc. of MN, Plymouth Church. Private celebration of her life TBD. Our thanks to Deephaven Woods Senior Living and Brighton Hospice. Final arrangements by Anatomy Bequest Program, University of Minnesota Medical School.
