Mpls - Nickel, Mary Josephine (Moe) Age 87 of Mpls, passed away April 26, 2025. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, and sisters. Mary Jo was born on January 31, 1938. She grew up in Mpls, MN and met Thaddeus Nickel in 1954, they fell in love and married on June 7, 1957. Mary Jo was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Survived by husband of 67 years, Thaddeus; daughters, Mary Jo (Rick) Labandz, Julie (James) Green; sons, Thaddeus (Jacqueline) Nickel, Joseph (Susan) Nickel; grandchildren, Melissa (Timothy) Kelly, Julia (Eric) Fischer, Jonathan (Ashley) Green, Michael (Amber) Green, Michelle Kelley, Samantha Nickel, Justin Nickel, Kaitlyn Nickel, Thomas Nickel; great-grandchildren, Ethan Evenson, Eliana Green, Bryer Green, Jenna Fischer, Nola Green, Carlee Kelley, Evan Fischer, Caden Kelley. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 29, 2025 at 12pm with visitation beginning at 11am at Holy Cross, 1621 University Ave NE, Mpls. Luncheon to follow.
