Hugo, MN - "Life is short, eat dessert first", that was Bonnie's motto! Age 81, of Hugo, MN, formerly of Forest Lake, Bonnie passed away on September 20, 2025. She was born July 30, 1944, in Marietta, Pennsylvania. Survived by her loving husband of 58 years Robert; children Jenny (Rick) Schaffhausen, Jessica Lund, Rebecca (Dan) Trudeau; three loving grandchildren, Jacob and Christopher Lund and Gavin Trudeau; two great-grandsons Weston and Kayson Trudeau; and brother Wally Wessels along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends met along the way. She was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Ethel Wessels and sister Marlene Minnis. A service will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 1:00 pm, at Maranatha Assembly of God, 24799 Forest Blvd. N., Forest Lake. A Celebration of Life will follow from 2:00-4:30 pm at the American Legion, 5383 140th St. N., Hugo. In lieu of flowers, your presence and support mean the most.
