Naples, FL - Born January 3, 1935, in St. Paul, MN. and adopted by Lieutenant Commander Thomas W. and Mildred Walsh, Mary celebrating February 14 as her birthday as she was her father's sweetheart.

She graduated from Visitation High School and married the love of her life Edwin Francis (Bucky) Janssen in June of 1955. They raised 6 children in Edina, MN and then retired to Naples, FL in 1985.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Thomas Walsh, sister-in-law Rosemarie, and grandson David Paul Janssen. She is survived by her children Mary Seitz (Tom), Edwin (Cynthia), William (Kara), David (MaryGene), Cindy, and Sandra Barry (Brian), 15 grandchildren, 11 1/2 grand spouses, and 17 1/2 great-grandchildren.

Mary died peacefully in her sleep on February 8, 2026. Her caring and loving spirit will live on in the joyful memories she created.

A private family memorial mass will be held in her honor at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in the little chapel at St. Patrick's Church in Edina, MN.
