Bloomington - Grausam, Mary (Nancy) peacefully surrounded by her family, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at the age of 84. Born September 12, 1940, in Farmington, MN. to Ambrose (Jake) Ring and Lorraine Gertrude Wiotte. Nancy was the eldest of four siblings. At 13 she assumed the role of caretaker for her three brothers while her mother battled illness. Nancy graduated from Humboldt High School in St. Paul MN, in 1958. On August 27, 1960, she married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Louis Grausam, whom she met on a blind date while he was home on leave from the Navy. Together, they built a marriage spanning 60 years, raising four wonderful children. After 23 years in MN, they moved to Montana, North Dakota and Idaho. Throughout her life, Nancy held various professional roles, including administrative assistant positions at numerous churches and professional organizations. Yet, her most cherished vocation was her family. She loved sharing her gifts in gardening, baking, and cooking with friends and loved ones. A lifelong devout Catholic, Nancy volunteered extensively at her home parishes. She was especially proud of leading the stewardship committee and spearheading the Welcome Dinner at Holy Apostles Church in Boise, ID. Upon retirement in Boise, Nancy and Bob enjoyed traveling throughout the western states, visiting family and friends. Nancy particularly treasured their annual trips to Tucson, AZ. In 2014, they returned to their home state of Minnesota to be closer to family, as family always brought Nancy her greatest joy. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Lorraine Ring; husband Bob; godparents Joe and Margie Ring; sisters-in-law Sister Mary Ann and Theresa Grausam; brothers-in-law Mike and Jim Grausam. She is survived by her four children: Steve (Connie), Paul (Dee), Lori Lukumbusho, and Susan Currie (Nick); nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three siblings and many other loving family members and friends. A family Mass will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 am at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, Bloomington, MN. Visitation will begin at 9:45 am the same day. Arrangements are entrusted to Gill Brothers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice in Nancy's memory.
