Richfield - Jagodzinski, Mary Ann (Smith) age 79, of Minneapolis, MN passed away on May 21, 2025 at The Pines of Richfield due to Alzheimer's disease. Mary Ann was born in Minneapolis, MN on April 25, 1946. She loved growing up on a farm in Waverly, MN and spent as much time as possible outside. Mary Ann and Jerome Jagodzinski (Jerry or Jug) were married on April 15, 1967. They raised two daughters, Natasha and Heidi, in their home in South Minneapolis. Mary Ann loved being a mom, granny, and nurse. She greatly enjoyed her career working in the pediatrics emergency room and pediatrics clinic at Hennepin County Medical Center. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Jerry Jagodzinski, and her special partner, Tom Battey. She is survived by her daughters, Natasha Fleischman (Bob) of Woodbury and Heidi Hamilton (Steve) of Minneapolis; grandsons, Peter Fleischman of Bozeman, MT and Simon Fleischman (Kanako) of Okinawa, Japan; great-grandson, Nolan Fleischman; younger sister, Joanne Young of St. Louis Park. We are grateful for the compassionate care and support provided by the staff at The Pines of Richfield and Hospice of the Midwest. A funeral will be held on May 31, 2025 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (4537 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis) at 11 AM. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery or MN Adult & Teen Challenge.
