Maple Grove, MN - Martin J. Tahija, of Maple Grove, died 4/1/26. He was born on 4/27/56 in Hibbing, MN.

Marty lived his entire adult life in the Twin Cities, having married Mary Sturzl of Green Bay, WI, on 9/10/94. They have one son, Maxwell. Marty had a career he loved, having created a commercial contracting company, Premier General Contracting.

Marty's real passion and talent was cooking and entertaining, hosting countless large dinner parties. Marty will be remembered as a being a great chef, having an infectious laugh and being a great storyteller.

Marty is survived by wife Mary, son Maxwell, sister, Jean, brother Tom, sister-in-law Shelly, nephew Travis, nieces Theresa, Tiffany and Trey. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mary Ann Tahija.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24 at Church of St. Patrick- Edina with visitation at 10:00 followed by a service at 11:00.
