Mpls, Minnesota - Martin "Marty" Alfred Mishkin, 70, of Minneapolis, Minn., died peacefully at home on May 31, 2026, of leiomyosarcoma. Born on May 6, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Naomi Ruth Kraus Mishkin and Abraham Rudolph Mishkin, he is survived by his wife, Andrea Otter; daughter, Sydney Mishkin; sisters, Renée Chewning and Sandra Mishkin; and twin brother, Marvin Mishkin. Marty and Andrea married in 1986 and welcomed their daughter, Sydney, in 1993. Marty earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from RPI and Ph.D. in food engineering from MIT. His career in research and development spanned more than three decades at Procter & Gamble, Pillsbury and Estée Lauder. Marty will be remembered for his brilliant mind, quick wit and generous spirit.
