St. Cloud - 88 of St. Cloud went home to Jesus on August 28, 2025, in Lakeville MN. She was born in Blue Earth to Fred and Edna (Boettcher) Porter. Her faith journey with Christ began at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, confirmed with Acts 4:12 as her verse "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" . A graduate of St Olaf College, she taught chorale music at Oak Grove, MN and Ripon WI. She married James L. Johnson and raised their family in St. Cloud. Her greatest nurturing act was placing God's Word in her children's hands and professing Christ as her Savior. A 4pm Sept 22 service is planned at Hosanna Chapel 9850 163rd St. West in Lakeville MN with visitation at 3pm.
