Ham Lake, MN - Marissa Madison-Norman, of Ham Lake, Minnesota, passed away
peacefully on June 7, 2025, at the age of 61, following complications from a bone marrow transplant. Her courage, grace, and unwavering spirit in the face of illness were a testament to the strength she carried throughout her life.
Born in Chicago, IL on July 6, 1963, Marissa brought joy and kindness into every life she touched. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a loyal sister, and a treasured friend. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Martin, father Wardell Madison, Sr., and brothers Wardell Madison, Jr., and Brian Madison (Skitter).
Marissa is survived by her beloved husband, Mike Norman; their children, Dustin (Jessica) and Desiree (Charlie), and her cherished granddaughter, Ryann, with whom she shared a deep and
abiding bond. Marissa also leaves behind her stepmother, Edna Smith, as well as her closest friends, Nancy Champeau and Diana Knobel Turner, with whom she shared lifelong friendships.
In addition, she is survived by her loving mother-in-law, Judithe Norman; sister-in-law, Kathleen (Kelvin); her brothers-in-law, Pat (Lori) and John (Irene); her sisters, Bridgette, Mel, and Nikki;
her brother, Kip; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and very close friends.
She will be remembered for her gentle heart, quiet strength, and the warmth and light she brought into the lives of others. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and resilience.
A celebration of Marissa's life will be held at Our Savior's Church in Circle Pines, MN on Friday, June 27, 2025, with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm (noon) and the service at 1:00 pm.
In remembrance of Marissa, the family welcomes memorial contributions to organizations supporting bone marrow transplant patients and research, or a charity or church of your choice.
