Marilyn (Lyn) Collins Stewart, beloved mother to three children, Lorinda Swenson (spouse - Dan), of Dayton, Minnesota, Tom Stewart, of Denver, Colorado and John Stewart (spouse - Dee), of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota on October 25, 2025 at the age of 97.

Lyn was born in Brockport, New York, as the third child to Dr. Harold and DeEtta Collins. Dr. and Mrs. Collins had two older children, Arthur and Anna. They all grew up together in Brockport. Lyn attended Arcadia University (formerly Beaver College) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and graduated with a degree in Education.

Lyn married Robert (Bob) K. Stewart in Brockport, New York in 1950. They lived in the Los Angeles, California area for several years and then moved to Columbus, Ohio for a short time and then onto Xenia, Ohio, where their three children were born. Subsequently, they moved to Golden Valley, Minnesota in 1963, where Lyn was a stay-at-home mom and taught special education part-time for Robbinsdale School District 281. Following retirement, she volunteered with Lutheran Social Services for many years. During this time, Lyn was also active in her church's (Calvary Lutheran Church) Women's Circle group.

Lyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and was survived by their 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
