Marilyn Joan Anderson Obituary

Minneapolis, MN - Anderson, Marilyn Joan

Age 97, of Northeast Minneapolis, died at home August 25, 2025.

Preceded in death by husband Robert "Bob", sister Jean Elmberg and brother Raymond Creighton.

Survived by 6 children; Steve (Joani), Doug (Steve Huggett), Gary (Joy), Susan (Robert Huebner), Tim (Ryan Kelley) Nancy (Jeanne Louis) and sister Bonnie Creighton.

For 74 years Marilyn called Northeast Minneapolis home.

She and Bob found a lot where they built their home and raised their family. She was adventurous and enjoyed traveling the world with Bob. Marilyn was the best fishing and gardening partner Bob could ask for. Marilyn learned to rollerblade at 65, hiked Day Hill Trail at 82 and played volleyball for 50 years, retiring at 88. She also enjoyed all forms of sewing, crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader. Not to be forgotten, her love and care for Rusty, Spook, Fluffy and Lily. She was lucky to have many wonderful friends throughout her life. Her resilient spirit reflected her love for life and family.

She will be greatly missed by all.

A private interment at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery will be held.
