Marie Elizabeth (nee Collins) Wien (Molly) Obituary

Blaine - Molly was found to have a malignant brain tumor in March of 2010, at the age of 33. She never recovered from a stroke last February. She passed away at the J. A. Wedum Hospice on September 6, 2025. Molly was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma and was mostly raised in Anoka, MN, after the family moved there in 1985. She graduated from Anoka High School in 1995, graduated from the University of MN, and then worked at the U of MN Child Care Center as a teacher of toddlers. She was known for her sweet disposition, love of children and animals.

She is survived by her husband Brian, son Sam, Brian's folks Gary and Trudy Wien, her parents Dr. Donald and Nora S. Collins, uncle Mark Collins, sister Noreen Shepard (Mike), brother Matthew Collins (Pavithra Pooviah) and their sons Kiran, Krishna and Rishi.

A celebration of life is planned at the home of Molly's parents on Saturday, September 27th, anytime between 2 and 5 PM. Call 763-427-1280 if questions. Private interment on September 28. Memorials preferred to the Angel Foundation MN or Givens Brain Tumor Center of Ab-NW Hosp. Tissue donation through Life Source and cremation by National Cremation Society (Richfield).
