Aaker, Marian Twedt Age 95, died in Sherwood, Oregon February 26, 2021 after moving from Minnesota 6 months earlier to live with her daughter's family. She had lived at 7500 York, Edina, Minnesota for 25 years. Preceded in death by parents Lincoln and Myrtle Larson Twedt, husband Stuart, and siblings Lynn Twedt and her twin Marilyn Erickson. Marian was born February 15, 1926 and grew up in the family homestead in Spink, South Dakota. Her Great-grandfather emigrated from Norway in 1861 and built the home in 1869. She graduated from Augustana Academy (1945) and Fairview Hospital Nursing School. Married Stuart Aaker in 1949 at Brule Creek Lutheran Church in Spink. Raised three children and worked as an RN in Minneapolis. Always active in the Lutheran Church and Norwegian groups, Marian continued her mother's work by tracing and visiting their family relatives in Norway. Marian and Stu traveled to Norway several times. Marian has always loved her Norwegian books and Norwegian sweaters which are being shared with family and friends. Survived by children: Nancy (Daryl) Lovro, Craig, and Phil (Kathy). Grandchildren: Kari (Marc) Jones, Kristin Trost, Erik Lovro, Amber (Jason) Timm, Annie Aaker, Alexandra Aaker, Kirsten (Chris) Bassingthwaighte, and Brett Aaker. Great grandchildren: Nathan Mysliwiec, Aidyn and Ava Timm, Rowan and Madison Jones, Jessica and Wyatt Trost, and Mia and Lily Bassingthwaighte. Siblings: Nancy Burtzloff and Carter (Peggy) Twedt. Celebration of life for Marian will be held in Spink, SD at the family homestead "later" due to current COVID-19 precautions.
