Liljeblad, Lynn Marie passed away at her home in Ocala, Florida on November 25, 2024. Lynn Marie was born on August 3, 1958. Her love of art, especially drawing, started at an early age, as did her love of horses. Lynn began her riding lessons in Chanhassen, Minnesota at Hollow Haven Farm in her early teens. It was there that her love of English riding was formed. The American Saddlebred was an important focal point of her life. In addition to owning her own horses, Lynn represented various owners and farms showing their horses at state fairs and equestrian events throughout the Midwest and Southeast. Lynn incorporated her interest in drawing with her visits and appearances along the circuit. Lynn was a hands-on person, setting up her easel along the way and garnering an enthusiastic following who were amazed at the detail and stunning likenesses she was able to capture with her gifted eye. Whether working directly from a live subject or photos, Lynn had the perfect hand to re-create beautiful stallions, heartwarming mares, spirited Arabian, sleek racehorses, or the majestic American Saddlebred. All equine breeds were brought to life by Lynn for a memory that owners and their families and friends could cherish forever. In addition to horses, Lynn drew many breeds of dogs, cats, and rabbits, but was not limited to any specific animal. Lynn used her personal favorite, medium pastels, chalk, pencil, and charcoal on drawing board to achieve her creations. Lynn was born with a talent that is blessed on but a select few. Lynn is survived by her sisters, Sally Olson, Susan (Todd) Skaggs, Patricia Madsen and Wendy Hannula, nieces and nephews, Eric, Theresa, Adrienne, Cody, Samantha and Christopher. Preceded in death by father, John Liljeblad and mother, Alice Liljeblad, and her beloved dog, Lily. Lynn's dog, Boy is now with Cousin Belinda (Thank you Belinda for taking in Boy) and her cat, Irma, apparently blew away like the hurricane she was name after and Lynn was never able to find her. A special thank you to George Wesson for his long-term friendship with Lynn and helping our family during this solemn time. Lynn loved her family, a sensitive individual who carried us with her wherever she went. She will be sorely missed and we know she is riding her beloved horse, Sunny, in heaven as we speak! A Memorial/Celebration of Life for Lynn Marie Liljeblad will be held in August (date and location yet to be determined).
