Lynn Mary Cannon Obituary

Lynn Mary Cannon, of Minneapolis, passed away on December 12, 2024. She was 65. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine "Geri" and Bernard "Steve" Cannon, as well as her beloved dogs Duke and Jack. She is survived by her brother Bart Cannon and his wife Marion Greene, her nieces Ellie and Mia, her uncle Donald Cannon, her cousin Lee Zimbelman, and her close friend Terry Arf.


Lynn was a dedicated and accomplished individual. She graduated from West High School and achieved significant academic success at the University of Minnesota. Lynn earned a B.A. in social work and later a Master's. She also completed a degree in nursing, making her a three-time university graduate.


Her professional journey followed the path of public service, working in state and county government, and social service agencies. Her service culminated at Lakeview Hospital working in their hospice unit, easing patients' and families' concerns at the end of their lives. Lynn's commitment to her education and career was a testament to her passion for making a positive impact on her community.
