East Bethel, MN - Lowell George Friday, age 86, of East Bethel, Minnesota, passed away on January 9, 2026. He was born August 23, 1939, in Crosby, Minnesota.


Lowell was an artist at heart and a cowboy in spirit. He loved horses, the outdoors, and creating with his hands. Known for his ingenuity, he worked as a mechanic in the trucking industry and was a natural inventor who could fix or build just about anything. Lowell lived life independently and on his own terms, guided by hard work, creativity, and self-reliance.


He is survived by his children: Lisa (Ed) Kowalski; Joel (Patti) Friday; Brian (Tonia) Friday; Travis (Heidi) Petschl; and Dannielle Petschl; his sister, Vickie Leonard; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Velda Friday; his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Linda Friday; his brother, Wayne Friday; and his nephew, David Friday.


Funeral services will be held January 26, 2026, at Constance Free Church, 16150 Crosstown Blvd NW. Visitation begins at 3 p.m., with service at 4 p.m., followed by dinner. Cowboy attire is welcome.
