Edina - Carlson, Louise 96, of Edina, passed away on August 14, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Walter James Carlson, son-in-law Barry McCool, and five siblings. Survived by sister Kay Griggs, children Susan (Terry) Hayes, Nancy Carlson, David (Ann) Carlson, nine grandchildren - Kelly, Patrick, Bill, Michael, Jim, Walter, Henry, Peter, and Sally, six great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, her beautiful soprano voice shared through Saint John's Lutheran Church choir and the Good Sam Singers, and her lifelong devotion to family, faith, volunteerism, and community. Funeral arrangements are pending.

A funeral will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church (4842 Nicollet Ave. S., Minneapolis) on October 21 at 2 PM with a light reception following. No visitation.

Memorials may be made to Saint John's Lutheran Church, Minneapolis or P.E.O. of Minnesota for women's education.
