Mpls, Minnesota - Linda Mack Ross, 83, passed on December 28, 2025. She was preceded in death by parents Irving (Buddy) and Hilda Mack, brother Arthur, nephew Josh Mack, Sister-in-law Judy Mack, former husband Ivan Ross, and several good friends. Survived by children Jonah and Hillary, Special cousin Lisa Mack Cohen and her family, and very dear friends many of whom were like family.
Linda felt lucky to grow up in North Minneapolis and to be a part of the lives of so many families. She followed her parents who were actively involved in community. She served as Vice President of National Council of Jewish Women sections in both Minneapolis and Phoenix. She chaired the St. Louis Park Human Rights Commission and was a member of the Minnesota State Human Rights Commission. She was grateful for the opportunity to testify about the "isms" before the Justice Department. Due to her involvement in human rights as both a volunteer and as a Professional she was granted a Bush Foundation Fellowship to study mediation at Hamline Law School. She mediated discrimination suits for some Federal Agencies as well using it in her Organization Development Practice.
Linda wrote many articles about diversity issues and topics that concerned her. Her book "The Smart Consumer's Book of Questions" was a finalist in the Minnesota Book Awards. She loved helping people find resources and problem solve.
Linda was active politically in Minnesota and Arizona. It was particularly difficult for her to watch the growing inhumanity in our country and in this world.
In lieu of flowers; donations or actions that would positively affect women's issues, civil rights, and decreasing "isms" would be appreciated.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 PM on 04-11-2026 at Jewish Community Center, 4330 Cedar Lk Rd S.
