Linda Kay Bergherr Obituary

Bloomington, MN - Age 83, of Bloomington, MN. Linda passed away peacefully on 4/27/26 after a prolonged illness. Preceded in death by parents Howard & Norma Bergherr, sister Terry Bergherr, and husband Tim Johnson. She was an award-winning beloved teacher who established the Gifted & Talented program in the Richfield schools. Linda had many lifelong friends who loved her dearly, with whom she traveled widely to the Boundary Waters, state parks, cities in the US, and throughout Europe. Linda lived a rich and loving life, anchored in a deep faith in God and a love for humanity. She was involved in the 3rd World Jubilee and other charities for years. Linda is survived by sister Barbara Martin; niece and nephews Paula, Jeff & Mike Anderson; nephew Jeff Strube; granddaughter Taylor Hinrichs; and many others.


Linda generously donated her body to the UofM Anatomy Bequest Program for medical education. The UofM ABP will cremate her body when their research is concluded. Memorial services will be held within the next few months and will be noted in the online obituary.
