Bloomington - Engelstad, Lillian Elizabeth (nee Lofquist) Age 98 of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, just shy of her 99th birthday. Born in Jamestown, NY to Anna Elizabeth and Algot Lofquist. A devoted wife, mother, teacher, and woman of faith, she lived a life full of love for the church and her family. After graduating from high school, she received her teaching degree from Fredonia State Teachers College. She moved to Minnesota in 1950 and taught in Mound, St. Louis Park, and twenty-one years in special education in Bloomington. Lillian met her husband, Maurice, at Lutheran Bible Institute. They built a home in Bloomington where they lived 63 years, raising four children, Elizabeth (Kevin) Mortinson, Victoria (Scott) Haas, Daniel (Carol) Engelstad, and Jonathan Engelstad; and celebrating nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She leaves a legacy through faith and her family.
