Hi Mom, it's just me. That's what I said every time I came through your front door. It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year since that last happened. I miss so many things:

Wearing silly hats for the Kentucky Derby

Playing Scrabble

Dancing in the living room

Singing along to the organ

White Castle for lunch

Two scotches at 5:00

Shopping at thrift stores

Orange crush floats

Rib dinners

Your laugh

The way you always knew exactly what to say

How lucky we were to have something that made saying goodbye so hard.
