Mpls, MN - Born on April 28, 1957 and passed on December 7, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Minneapolis MN, she was preceded in death by her parents Edward Shimek and Eleanor J. Shimek. Cherished and loved, is survived by her loving family: husband Mark J. Boyd, daughter Samantha Boyd and her fiancé Victor Easter and brother Dan E. Shimek, as well as many cousins, nephews, great niece and many close friends. She spent 20 years of her life as an RN at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. A celebration of life is to be held at a later date in January 2026. Details to follow.
