Larry Zipkin Obituary

Minnetonka - Zipkin, Larry age 85, of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 9, 2025. Preceded in death by father, Sidney; mother, Harriet; sister-in-law, Pearl; and brothers- in-law, Buddy and Bobby. Survived by Shirley, his loving wife of 62 years; daughter, Jill; son, David (Holly); beloved grandchildren, Lexi, Zack, Ellie, and Asher; sister, Judy (Paul); sister-in-law, Estelle; and brother-in-law, Marvin (Chelle). He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Larry was born in Cleveland, moved to Minneapolis at age 16, and formed bonds that still last to this day. Larry had a sharp mind, quick wit, and never was idle. He was always seeking business opportunities and reinventing himself to keep up with the times. Larry was an avid golfer, card player, and reader, but would give it all up for time with his grandkids. Funeral service 10 am FRIDAY, July 11th at ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 Hillside Lane W., Minnetonka, followed by a private burial. Service will be livestreamed at: www.adathjeshurun.org/livestream There will be a gathering at Adath Jeshurun Friday from 2 pm-4 pm for all who wish to pay their respects.
