Marietta, GA - Larry C. Larson, age 77, passed away peacefully in early May after a brief, determined fight against cancer.

Originally from Minnesota, Larry attended the University of Minnesota and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He loved participating in sports of all kinds and played baseball for his college team. He was a (often frustrated) life-long sports fan. After college, Larry relocated to Georgia for new opportunities. It was here he found his calling in the Atlanta theater community as a founding member of The Southern Theatre Conspiracy.

He was also an innovative, exuberant, and hilarious radio host, providing respite for those stuck in morning traffic. But his heart, soul, and spirit lived for storytelling. Recipient of the Loridans award for his contributions to the theatre arts in Atlanta, he was a gifted playwright and a talented actor on stage and film. Larry leaves behind a rich body of work. His creative passion burned fiercely to the very end.

Proceeded in death by father J.O. Larson. Survived by mother Irene, brother Paul (Cathy), sister Carol (Terry Spohn), nephews Eric Larson and Adam Krumwiede, and many extended family, friends and kindred spirits. His loss is immense and we will miss him for all time.

A celebration of Larry's life that was filled with passion, humor, and love for his family and friends will be held in Georgia at a later date.
