Mpls, MN - Larry Fitzgerald, known to those who loved him as "The Original", was a longtime resident of Mpls, MN who passed away on June 1, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Sally Fitzgerald, his brothers Michael and Robert Fitzgerald Jr., and his first wife Carol Fitzgerald. Larry Sr. was a journalist in the truest sense. He owned the National Programming Network where he thrived covering sports across the Twin Cities and around the country, bringing fairness, passion and integrity to everything he touched. He was tough but fair, demanding but equally gracious, and always there when his family needed him most. He is survived by his sister Marilyn and brother Ephriam Fitzgerald, his wife Sharrie Warner Fitzgerald, his daughter Ikella Menelik, his sons Larry Fitzgerald Jr. and Marcus Fitzgerald, and his five grandsons Devin, Jaylen, Apollo, Milos and Prince.
