Maple Plain, MN - Kirk Emil Anderson, 65, of Maple Plain, Minnesota, passed away on August 28, 2025, after bravely facing cancer for nearly three years.

Born on August 19, 1960, in Minneapolis to John and Carol Anderson, Kirk known by most as "Turky" grew up with a love for hard work, family, and all things with an engine. He graduated from Orono High School and Dunwoody College of Technology, and went on to enjoy a long and successful career leading the Tri-K services sector of the family business. Kirk truly loved what he did, showing up with dedication and pride—rarely missing a day, even while in treatment.

Kirk was preceded in death by his father, John "Jack" Anderson, and his nephew, Kory Anderson. He is survived by his daughter, Kaycie, who was his greatest joy; his brothers, Kent and Kraig; nieces and nephews, Kale, Karly, Kooper, and Kameron; and many extended family members and friends who will hold him close in their hearts.

From a young age, Kirk grew up racing motorcycles and snowmobiles with his siblings and became a lifelong lover of all things racing. He also loved his bulldozer, tractors, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he loved supporting his daughter in her hockey career, spending time with friends, family, and his pets.

Kirk was tough—he never quit fighting, no matter what life put in his path. Those who knew him will remember his strength, his big heart, his quick humor, and the selflessness with which he lived his life.

Fulfilling his final wish, Kirk donated his body to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program. While he didn't want a formal funeral, his family plans to gather for a memorial celebration in the future when his cremated remains are returned, so that all who loved him can share stories and honor his life.
