Kathleen I. Black Obituary
Maple Grove - age 86, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, passed away on May 28, 2026. Preceded in death by her husband, David R. Black, her parents, three sisters and one brother. Kathleen flew as a stewardess for Northwest Orient Airlines before raising four sons with David across military postings in the U.S. and Japan, settling in Minnesota. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a great love of family, welcoming all into her home. Survived by her children: Clayton (Rhonda) Black; Colm (Becky) Black; Alex (Jennifer) Black; Kevin (Kelly) Black; grandchildren: Molly Lewis, Seamus Black, Madisen Black, Isabella Black, Noah Black, Finnegan Black, Josephine Black, Katherine Black, Logan Black, and Lauren Black; great-grandchild Thomas Lewis-Manning; brother John Sullivan; sister Eileen Hedberg; and sister-in-law Marilyn Sullivan. Memorial Mass Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10:30 am at St. Therese Parish (18323 Minnetonka Blvd.) in Deephaven. Visitation from 9:30 am. A luncheon will follow.
