Delano, MN - 1949-2026

Karen was born in Breckenridge, MN to Olga and Helmuth Heidinger. She was the sixth out of seven children and she grew up in Milnor, North Dakota on the family farm. After graduating from Milnor High School Karen worked at the Minneapolis Postal Service for over 36 years and later drove a school bus for the Wright County School District for 20 years.

Karen was called home to her Lord and Savior on February 04, 2026 and was reunited with her loved ones. She was preceded in death by both parents, sisters Elaine Dick from CA, Doris Nielsen from NV, Donna Ordahl from TX, and brother Wilfred Heidinger from CA. She is survived by her life partner of 30 years, Donna Cole; younger sister, Linda Heidinger; and several nieces and nephews from CA, TX, NV, OK, ND, and NM as well as several very close friends. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2026 and a private memorial service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Buffalo Humane Society at 2800 10th SE, Buffalo, MN 55313 (763-684-1234) in honor of Karen Heidinger.
