Julie Anderson Woolsey Obituary

Mendota Heights, Minnesota - Julie Anderson Woolsey passed away on May 26th 2026 at the age of 69 after a 9-month battle with stomach cancer.

Julie is preceded in death by her father, John Anderson, Her sister, Holly Wrisberg, her brother Scott Anderson, and many of her beloved pets.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Christopher Woolsey; her four children Hayden (Ben) Valtinson, Wyatt Woolsey, Jackson Woolsey, and Quinn (Luke) Bauman; her six grandchildren; Dani, Huxley, Reagan, Ellis, Briar, and Ezlin, her mother, Elizabeth Anderson; and her siblings Cinda (Scott) Columb, Gregg Anderson, and Jay (Cheryl) Anderson.

Julie had a love for Jesus and spent a year in South Korea sharing the gospel. She was a kind and generous person and worked as a nurse at the VA for many years and ended her career working at an adult mental health treatment facility. She retired after 31 years of working for the state of Minnesota. Julie was the kind of person who would give you her left kidney, literally! She made a non-directive kidney donation in 2019. Even in death, Julie generously donated her body to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest program. Her passions included animals, enjoying time with family and friends, and doting on her grandchildren. She is deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, Julie requested donations to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, where she brought many animals throughout the years (wrcmn.org).

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on June 23rd, 2026, at Hope Church, 7132 Portland Ave., Richfield.
