Excelsior - Bersie, Judy M. (Seck) September 10, 1941 - May 11, 2025 Judy (Punky) Bersie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with kidney failure. She was 84 years old. Born in Minneapolis on September 10, 1941, Judy graduated from Hopkins High School in 1959. She was known for her radiant smile and her rare gift for making everyone feel seen - she could light up a room and seemed to know everyone by name. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many, and her presence will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Adrian Seck, her twin sister Julie Carmichael, and her brother George Seck. Judy is survived by her loving husband, Dean; her children, Tami Bersie and Timothy (Inez) Bersie; and her cherished grandson, Keegan. She is also survived by her siblings Adrienne (Ken) Wheat, Geraldine Waller, Rebecca (Dale) Dearstyne, and Hazel Gamec. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Huber Funeral Home, 520 Second St, Excelsior, MN. A visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service at Huber Funeral Home on Saturday. Private family interment. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the Gold Nugget Tavern & Grill, 14401 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka, MN to share memories and honor Judy's life.
