Edina - age 87, was born January 19, 1938 in St. Paul, MN, and went to her eternal home on November 4, 2025 in Edina, MN.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John (Jack) O. Wallschlaeger and grandson Sam O'Brien.

Judy is survived by sister Sally Moore of Edina, MN, daughter Julie O'Brien (Michael), grandson Fred of St. Paul, MN, son Steve (Jeannie) of Minnetonka, MN, granddaughter Marena Kaufman (Alex) of Jersey City, NJ, granddaughter Anika Stone (Mickey) and great-granddaughter Wylie Stone of Aravda, CO. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Judy earned a BS from the school of Engineering at the University of Minnesota in Architecture. She started her career as an architect for Pillsbury, designing restrooms for their corporate campus. Her career then moved to raising two of the most awesome children for which she was a huge success. As a perpetual volunteer, during this time she gave her time to the Junior League of Mpls, St. Alban's church, Epsicopal services and many other important causes. Returning to the paying workforce, she worked for many years as office manager, bookkeeper and keep-it-togetherer of an iron fabrication company. Finally, she worked for the IRS and private accounting firms writing income taxes. Once she and her husband retired they moved to Pequot Lakes, MN and re-ignited volunteer opportunities with WAPOA, PRWA and many subcommittees focusing on protecting the environment.

Judy loved life and her personality was vibrant and always optimistic. She made friends wherever she went and was always the life of the party and one of a kind. She had a life well lived and was well loved.

Words cannot express how grateful and blessed we are to the team at the Waters of Edina who loved and cared for Judy and gave her life so much meaning.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am CST on Monday, November 24, 2025 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 6716 Gleason Road, Edina, MN 55439. A light lunch will follow the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Alban's Episcopal church, stalbansedina.org.
