Brooklyn Park - Age 86 of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Pearl Hachlowski; granddaughter, Lucy Hesby; and loving husband of 66 years, Patrick. She is survived by her children, Wendy (Jay) Hesby, Michael (Julie), Brian (Connie); grandchildren, Sally (Yair) Carvajalino, Eric (Ellen), Jamie (Peter) Blaney, Jamin Hesby, Nathan; great-grandchildren, Louis, Scout, Leonardo and Lucy Carvajalino; and extended family and friends. Joy was born in Minneapolis and grew up in NE Minneapolis. She graduated from Minneapolis Vocational High School in 1957 and worked for many years as a switchboard operator, including over 20 years at Sperry Univac/Unisys. Joy and Pat were married in 1959 and raised their three children in Coon Rapids before moving to their home on the Mississippi River. Joy loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening and any sport/activity her grandchildren participated in. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Lucy Mae Hesby "She Makes a Difference" Memorial Scholarship. Make checks payable to Wayzata High School and send to the College and Career Center, 4955 Peony Ln N Plymouth, MN 55446 and indicate Lucy Mae Hesby Scholarship in memo section.
