Edina, MN - Jim Fleming is Dead. Preceded in death by wife Michael Eileen (nee Riley), son Christopher, brothers Jack, Dennis, and Patrick, and sister Mary Long.
Survived by wife Eileen Hassel, son Sean Fleming (Ana Maria Abugattas), grandson Jacob Fleming of Nashville, TN, sisters Ann Sheehan of Miami FL, and Jane Neus of Rio Rancho, NM.
Following the death of his wife, Michael Eileen, Jim married Eileen Kileen Hassel, mother of Chris Hassel, Gretchen Lohmann, and Elizabeth Hassel. Jim and Eileen lived in Edina, MN and Longboat Key, FL.
Jim grew up in S.W. Minneapolis and graduated from Southwest in 1958. After high school Jim enlisted in the U.S. Navy Air. He was assigned to VR7 transport squadron. He claimed to have the best job in the Navy. He flew as a load master from all over the world and attained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd class.
Most of his life he worked in the Office Products industry, retiring from Esselte Pendaflex as National Contracts Sales Manager.
He said, "Life was good."
Visitation on Saturday, May 16 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Edina, followed by funeral at 11:00. The visitation/funeral will take place in the chapel off of Gleason Avenue.
