Minneapolis, Minnesota - Joseph (Joe) Bakken, age 21 of Minneapolis, MN, passed away on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025. Growing up in Minnetonka, Joe enjoyed many activities and sports such as hockey, golfing, snowboarding, soccer, bowling, and more. He also attended Eden Prairie High School. Joe was a kind, lively, funny, and caring person who loved to spend time with his friends and family. He always loved meeting new people, and appreciated new experiences. Joe was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Joe is survived by his father Eric Bakken, Eric's loving partner Sondra Bambery, and her children, Maddie, Caitlin, and Tyler Bambery. His other family members include Uncle Ron, Aunt Jane, Uncle Gregg, and Aunt Mary Bakken. Joe is also preceded in death by his Grandma Dorothy, Grandpa Bruce, and Uncle Bruce Bakken. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31st, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Excelsior Commons in Excelsior, Minnesota.
