John Scott Wright DVM Obituary
St. Paul/Ely, MN - of St. Paul and Ely, MN, died on November 18, 2025 at the age of 80. Preceded in death by his parents, Ansel Joseph Wright and Harriet Horner Wright; his brother, Oliver Perry Wright; and dear friend, Betty Crosby. He is survived by cousins, Mary Manley and Marcie Horner (Mark Nelson); along with many friends. John was a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, establishing the first veterinary clinic in Ely. John was associated with the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine and in later life his passion was the social, therapeutic, and economic aspects of the relationship between humans and animals. He served as President and advisory board member of the Human Animal Bond Association. Private interment.
