Mpls, MN - John "Sammy" Estevez of Minneapolis, MN - Passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2026, at Methodist Hospital.

Preceded in death by parents, Joseph Estevez, Sr. and Aurora "Lola" Estevez; brother, David; nephew, Christopher; in-laws, Kenneth and Marjorie Peterson.

Survived by wife, Gayle & bonus family, Jordan (Amanda), Jonas (Regan), Terra and Mariam; brother-in-law Randy (Roxy); sisters and brothers: Anita (Mario), Amalia (Mike), Joseph Jr., James (Shelley), Lucy (Mark), Ellen (John), Teresa (Mitch), and Emily (John); a multitude of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He had a great love for his family, hockey, football and baseball. Special thanks to the staff of Methodist Hospital's ICU and Critical Care Teams for their care and compassion and the attentive care by nurses: Josh, Chris & Theo.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday July 26, 2026 between 12:30 - 3:30 pm
