Tonka Bay, MN - John (Jack) Benedict Becker, Senior. Age 97 passed away on May 6, 2026 at Folkestone Care Community in Wayzata, MN.

John was born in Waterloo, IA to Micheal John Becker and Elizabeth (Fischels) on September 8, 1928. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant for 6 years, graduated with an Engineering degree from Iowa State University and worked for FMC, Honeywell and Kurt Manufacturing. He was a 50 year + resident of Tonka Bay, MN, serving as the city's building inspector for several years. In retirement John was a prominent member of the Chanhassen woodcarving group instructing many young people in the skills of woodcarving. John was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Excelsior, MN.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Mary Lou (Robinson) Becker; and siblings Warner, Joseph, and Genevieve. John is survived by his sons Micheal (Virginia), of McKinleyville, CA; Steve (Donna) of Vadnais Heights, MN; Thomas (Kelly) of Minnetonka, MN; and John Jr of Minnetonka, MN; Grandchildren: Wesley, John, Michelle, Joseph, Andrew, and Manuel and 10 great grandchildren.

Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Shorewood, MN.

Celebration of Life to be held 2:00 pm, June 20, 2026 at the family residence in Tonka Bay, MN.
