MN - age 53, born April 21, 1972, departed on January 8, 2026. John worked as a carpenter for decades and found his greatest peace at "the pond," the family cabin on Lake Mille Lacs. He was known for his generosity, steady kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand, leaving behind a lasting legacy of friendship.
He is survived by his mother, Kay Alsaker; his brother, Jeremy (Kirsten) Nelson; his nieces, Lindsay Alsaker and Cassandra (Brandon) Van Den Hemel; and many other beloved friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Alsaker; his biological mother, Ginger Nelson; and his brother, David Alsaker.
The funeral service and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
