Crystal - 88, of Crystal, Minnesota, passed away June 27, 2026. Born April 1, 1938, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, to Carl Beidler Schanely and Margaret Eleanor Schanely. Joanne was known for her warmth and quiet strength, always placing others' needs before her own. Her Lutheran faith guided her life, and she found joy in card games, visits to the casino, and the company of dear friends. She built a career in administrative and finance fields, dedicating her deepest energy to her family. She is survived by her sons Robert, Bradley (Tricia), and Matthew Johnson, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her brother John (Pat) Schanely. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Robert Johnson, and her parents. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., both at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel, 5125 West Broadway, Crystal, MN 55429. Interment will follow at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis.
