Brooklyn Park, MN - Jerry L. Huttner was welcomed into Heaven on February 11, 2026 reunited with his Lord and Savior, and joyfully embraced by his beloved wife and lifelong love, Janet, exactly thirteen years to the day since her passing. Their love story, written in devotion and faith, now continues eternally.
Jerry was preceded in death by those who prepared the way before him: his father, Eugene; his mother, Dorothea; his daughter, Sarah; his wife, Janet; and his sister, Nancy. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children: daughter Deb (Bob) and son Steve. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Jason(Nikki), Nathan(Rachelle), Sarah(Josh), Emily(TJ), and Anna(Emmanuel), and a great-grandfather to six treasured great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by his cherished companion, Marva, along with dear friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jerry was born in St. Louis Park in 1939 and graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1957. Jerry faithfully served the Brooklyn Park Police Department from 1970 until retiring in 1995. Proudly known as Badge 19, he built a distinguished career marked by integrity and courage. He served as a Detective, SWAT Member, North View Junior High School Liaison Officer, and later a Federal Marshal, earning numerous recognitions and commendations for his distinguished service.
Beyond his career, Jerry was a man of deep faith, gentle wisdom, and steadfast love. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, a loyal friend, and a guiding presence to all who knew him. His steady hands, kind heart, and humble spirit touched countless lives. Whether offering quiet encouragement, sharing a warm smile, or simply being present, Jerry made others feel safe, valued, and loved.
While our hearts mourn his passing, we rejoice in knowing that Jerry is now at peace, reunited with his beloved Janet and welcomed home by his Savior. His life was a testament to faith, perseverance, and love—a light that will continue to shine through generations.
