Eden Prairie, MN - February 13, 1951 - January 15, 2026

Jeanette Ness Blasewitz — a woman of fierce love, wicked humor, and boundless heart — passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Born February 13, 1951, she lived 74 years by the words she kept on her mirror: "Live every moment, laugh every day, and love beyond words." She did exactly that.

A proud Minnesotan, Jeanette and her beloved husband Ron adventured across the country — San Francisco, Orange County, Dallas, and Milwaukee — before returning home to Eden Prairie. Winters were spent near the San Jacinto Mountains in Indio, California. Wherever she landed, she brought warmth, laughter, and an unshakeable loyalty to the Minnesota Vikings.

At the center of Jeanette's world was her son Christopher. She was his champion and fiercest advocate, loving and supporting him with a devotion that inspired everyone around her. Together, they poured their hearts into coaching the Minnesota Special Olympics team the Blues — a legacy that will live on in the athletes they uplifted. Jeanette loved gathering with friends and family, cheering loudly at Vikings games, dancing at Oldchella, and filling every room she graced with her laughter. She had a gift for living — and for making everyone around her feel it too.

Survived By

Her son Christopher Blasewitz; mother-in-law Cathy Blasewitz; brother-in-law Roger Blasewitz (Linda); nieces Jennifer McAtamney, Kateri Saeks (Adam Saeks), and Kimberly Naber; brother Paul Ness (Mary Ness); great-nieces and great-nephews Mairi, Nalani, Emilie, and Charlie as well as Joseph Yantambwe, son of her heart and steadfast helper to Christopher.

Her parents Edgar and Arla Ness; father-in-law Al Blasewitz; mother-in-law Norma Blasewitz; sister Winnie and brother-in-law Paul Hile; nephew Shawn McAtamney; and most dearly, her beloved husband Ron Blasewitz.
